Work with Me

Poses can work well for models — but most people aren’t models, and it’s perfectly normal to feel nervous in front of a camera. I specialize in sessions built around gentle guidance, not rigid posing. I won’t be rearranging your arms into a “perfect” position or asking you to fuss with your hair every few minutes. It doesn’t need to be flawless; it needs to be you.

I make it easy for you to feel relaxed and natural in front of the camera. From that place, I capture who you are organically. You don’t have to perform in my sessions — just be present and, above all, enjoy the moment with your loved one.

A couples session isn’t about posing—it’s about witnessing the connection. My photographs help you hold onto those snapshots of time, forever.

About Me

I’m Zian, a New York City based photographer focused on couples, engagements, and the moments in between. I blend documentary and fashion photography with intention, capturing the candid, spontaneous, unposed moments that make a relationship feel like itself while still paying close attention to light, composition, and atmosphere.

My photographs feel less like a photoshoot and more like a memory. Rather than relying on posing, I give just enough direction to help you feel comfortable, then let the interaction between you take over. The result, is intimate, cinematic imagery with an emotional and nostalgic quality — photographs that feel nostagic, personal, and distinctly yours.

We’ll choose a place that feels right for you whether it’s Manhattan or Brooklyn, make room to settle in, and let your connection lead the photographs.

My Process

  • Tell me a little about the two of you and the photographs you’re imagining. We’ll choose a location, discuss timing and what to wear, and make a plan for the weather so you arrive feeling prepared.

  • Think of it as time together, with me tagging along with my cameras. Over about 90–120 minutes, I’ll guide you through movement and small adjustments while leaving room for natural interaction. You don’t need to know how to pose.

  • You’ll receive a preview within 7 days and your complete gallery of 50+ edited photographs within 2 weeks of your session. Your photographs will be delivered in a private online gallery to download and share.
